It started out as a typical rainy day. I use to love to cozy up on a day like this, but ever since we became home-owners inclement weather has a whole new meaning...
What goes through my head after 1” of rain, well first, did we clean out the gutters? Will our new drainage system in the front prevent the basement from flooding? Should we have put down the grass seed yesterday, and will it wash away now? Yes, the list goes on....
BUT today we were in for a surprise...
A house fire? Yes, but don’t worry it wasn’t our little abode-luckily! Our unfortunate neighbor had a bedroom fire... No, I have no clue how that started, but nonetheless the City’s fire department lined our street and took care of business! Oh, did I mention Michael is a firefighter? Yep, and there's his engine in front of the house. I'm glad it's his day off! Hopefully I'll get my sideways video posted soon... it's action-packed.
