River Farm in Alexandria Va

Home of the American Horticultural Society, River Farm is one of the most lovely, serene, picnic spots in our city! It's open to the public Monday through Saturday and it's FREE- oh yes. The historic home (once owned by Washington) can be rented for events (we had checked it out for a potential wedding venue.) Or spend a day wandering the gardens (there's a cool kids garden) and soaking up the picturesque views of the Potomac. Check out photos from our most recent visit...
